Q & A: IIDA at NeoCON

Editor in Chief Cindy Allen talks with Cheryl Durst about what is happening right now at IIDA: http://www.interiordesign.net/BCVideo.html?bcpid=1630415432&bclid=29896899001&bctid=30452999001
I had the opportunity to listen to Cheryl Durst speak at the IIDA/Mohawk Re:Work workshop in Chicago recently. She was truly inspirational and was the highlight of the presentation for me. Her insights into the changes of the design world were very interesting to consider, especially the continual changes in technology and demographics (she suggested that we all subscribe to demographics.com, a newsletter on the topic). I loved her comparison of interior designers to cultural anthropologists. We have a strong understanding of people, relationships, and their interactions through spaces, and I think that is a great way to describe interior designers. What do you all think about this?
