We started off the weekend with dinner on Friday with our two good friends, Robb and Jerusha at Acadia. It had a fixed menu, but the food was quite good, so it was a nice way to start the weekend.
Then when we walked towards the park for our Saturday morning walk with Sumo, the clouds parted and the sun gleamed down on white trucks lining the streets next to the park. Which could only mean one thing. Our beloved Green City farmer’s market is back!
My husband and I were beyond excited and immediately went back inside for a grocery bag and cash. Here are some of the goods that we got (and because it was a rather rainy, cool weekend, I also did a little bit of online shopping for summer dresses – that somehow paired perfectly with our new farmer’s market finds):
Delicious, RED, honey crisp apples. These made me really want this Nanette Lepore, RED, lace dress.
Yummy, PURPLE asparagus. These made me really pine for this bright, PURPLE, scalloped eyelet J. Crew dress.
Tasty, WHITE onions. These made love this silk, ruffled, feminine, and WHITE, Anthropologie dress.
Vibrant, GREEN, swiss chard. I also have a small obsession with the hot pink and yellow stems. And this made me interested in this grassy, GREEN, crocheted Etoile Isabel Marant dress.
Fresh, COLORFUL flowers. The flowers made me really into this playful and patterned Milly floral dress.
We ended up nabbing these red lilies and purple, fragrant flowers…
And we of course did some relaxing on the couch (per usual)…
Some playing indoors…
Because Sumo was not a fan of having to dry off after playing outdoors…
And we out to dinner at our favorite Mexican spot, Las Pinatas for Cinco de Mayo. I didn’t snap any pictures except for one (blurry picture) of my outfit that night.
And then of course we had some more rainy walks outside.
How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun for Cinco de Mayo or the Kentucky Derby?
