Garden Envy

Sorry for the lack of posting for the past week.  With family matters, nothing else really matters, so unfortunately that means neglecting this blog. But thank you for standing by and I am back for the remainder of the week with some inspiration! We’ve been in Michigan for the past 5 days and since my in-laws have a stunning garden (a few snapshots below), it feels appropriate to share some garden envy.

It is probably no secret that I not only have zero outdoor space (I may have already complained about this once or twice on this blog), but also that I am constantly admiring others’ outdoor areas. Which brings me to gardens. Not only do I not have any outdoor space, but I have serious issues actually keeping plants alive. Which is why beautiful gardens seem like the epitome of what I will never attain and have thus become the pinnacle of my ‘ outdoor envy.’

Fresh, local, vegetables straight from backyard sounds pretty nice, don’t you think?!?

Or can you imagine going into your garden to pluck fresh lemons for your morning lemon water or smoothie OR stunning centerpiece?!?

Or walking up to rows of fresh herbs to snag a few for your oven roasted Italian pizza or fresh basil bread?

Or for stashing a few jars full of rosemary to provide a soft scent to your home?

Image

Or gathering a few fresh berries from your garden for homemade fruit jam or pie?

While I continue to daydream, here is some more garden imagery for you to enjoy…

Do you have a garden or a green thumb? Also, any tips you happen to have for INDOOR plants would be appreciated :-). Until next time, xo

  1. I have a crazy obsession with fruit trees and would love to have one (or lots!). Cherry, apple, plum, or pear I think all grow in Wisconsin, but they are messy and take years to grow. Boo! Brody and I just need to move somewhere that already has a fruit tree. Love the pics in this post!
